Atayne, LLC - Brunswick, ME

Project Description

Robert S. Goodfriend Summer Internship Fund Recipient

“My summer internship at Atayne was a fantastic experience immersing me in the operations of the small business.”

As an intern at Atayne, I hoped to learn the manufacturing processes and business strategy of Atayne to help advance the goals of the business. I completed these goals by helping optimize manufacturing processes, market Atayne’s products to retailers, and develop and implement cost-effective, attractive, and engaging strategies for our expo booth and social media outlets. I ran into challenges in all of these areas: broadly switching manufacturing protocol, competitor brands encroaching on our usual customers, and multiple rounds and levels of research and trials. Fortunately, these obstacles allowed me to understand the day-to-day difficulties of running a small business.
