Preston Public Interest Career Fund Recipient
“I can tell countless stories about the resilience and hope that I have seen from clients who have every reason to be bitter and angry — it is these clients who have taught me the most.”
Each of the families that I worked with faced their own challenges that they needed assistance to overcome. My accomplishments can be found in advocating for each of these families and helping them get what they needed, such as helping clients find medical coverage and a doctor who would see them for a minimal fee, and finding jobs for clients to help them pay their rent. I also worked directly with children, and making them smile and laugh when I interacted with them was the most rewarding accomplishment.
