GWU’s Sustainability Collaborative - Washington, DC

Project Description

Richard B. ’62 and Sabra Ladd Government Internship Recipient

“It was very fulfilling to work on a project that was centered on my interest in the intersection of government policy and environmental sustainability and to grow my network in the D.C. area.”

CEQ’s, or the White House Council on Environmental Quality’s GreenGov initiative focuses on highlighting and advancing sustainability efforts across the Federal Government through a series of dialogue events and the GreenGov Challenge and Awards. I began working on the initial stage of this project by synthesizing and summarizing over 150 different “GreenGov Award” nominated programs and initiatives that were being installed and conducted across various agencies of the Federal Government. Looking back on this summer I am proud of myself for what I have accomplished despite the obstacles I faced. In the end, my experience was enjoyable and productive
