Richard B. ’62 and Sabra Ladd Government Internship Recipient
“My experience gave me a clearer understanding of the legal process and a deep appreciation for the rule of law.”
I served as an intern for the Honorable Dennis M. Cavanaugh of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. My main responsibilities involved researching and preparing memoranda, reviewing materials of pro se litigants, and assisting the law clerks with legal research on hedonic damages. I observed oral arguments before the Third Circuit and attended lectures given by federal judges and attorneys from the U.S. Attorney’s office in the District of New Jersey. My experience gave me a clearer understanding of the legal process and a deep appreciation for the rule of law.
